Season of the Deep Artifacts can be obtained after completing the Season Intro mission and talking to Thrawn in HELM. Once obtained, the Artifact can be accessed from the Guardian Menu. You can choose up to 12 passive bonuses anytime. Artifact respect is completely free and can be done per mod. Gaining XP will increase your Artifact Level, allowing you to activate more passives while increasing your Guardian’s Power Level for a given season.
Some mods on artifacts state that they grant overcharge to certain weapon categories. Overcharge is a buff present in endgame PvE activities that increases damage by 25%. All Champion Counters and Overcharge Armory passives grant Overcharge to their respective weapon types. This buff does not stack with Activity Surge, but does stack with the player’s buffs such as Weapon Damage perks and Weapon Surge mods found in Radiant and Leg Armor. Overcharge exists in Legendary Lost Sectors, Nightfall, Master Raids, and Master Dungeons.
