As you would expect from a beekeeping simulator, bees play a very big role. Apico. These are the source of most of the gameplay, many one of them. In fact, finding and cooperating with a wide variety of bees is one of the main objectives of the game.

There are 35 types of bees in Apico (36 if you include the super-secret bees). All the ways to get bees are different. The guidebook that comes with the game is very useful for this purpose, but sometimes it’s nice to have everything in one convenient guide.

How to get all bees in-game

There are 3 ways to get new bees in Apico.

glowing bee		Found in blue hives in swamps that glow at dawn and dusk.
rocky bee		Found when breaking large boulders that require a stone pickaxe to break. A wooden pickaxe will not work.

Tier 3 bees

Legal Bee		Breed Verdant Bee and Vibrant Bee together within the confines of goldenrod flowers.

stubborn bee		House Drowsy Bees and Murky Bees together at dawn or dusk.
domesticated bees		Keep Verdant Bees and Drowsy Bees together in a building.
hermit bee		Breed Misty Bee and Murky Bee together. There should be no other bees within the radius of the apiary.
twilight bee		Breed Dream Bee and Drowsy Bee between 01:00 and 04:00.
Frosty Bee		Found in ice blue hives in ice areas.
fiery bee		Found in orange hives in ice areas.
jurassic bee		Found in a blue nest wrapped in ice blocks. A heater must be used to melt the ice and get the bees.

Tier 4 bees

ancient bee		Keep Twilight Bees and worker bees together. The lifespan of these bees should be 7 – use Honey Briar to extend the lifespan of the bees.
bohemian bee		Breed tame and stubborn bees together within at least 10 flowers.
prolific bees		Breed domesticated bees and hermit crabs together within range of at least six live queen bees.
industrial bees		Breed legal and worker bees together within the range of at least 3 automatic machines purchased from Bobby.
chaotic bee		Breed Hermit Bee and Twilight Bee with stability 1. Use Hivesbane for less stability.
Arctic honey bee		House Frosty Bees and Stubborn Bees together in an ice area with a cooler within range.
blazing bee		Keep Fiery Bees and Stubborn Bees together in swamps with heaters within range.
empress bee		Keep Firey Bees and Regal Bees together within a range where at least three smokers are burning different flowers.
melodic bee		Breed tamed and twilight bees within range of a jukebox playing music. Jukeboxes are available from the Fox merchant in the top left corner of the map.
Lightning Bee		Place a Hallowed Bee inside a hive in a swamp during a thunderstorm.
sacred bee		Found in the Orange Nest on the Sacred Island.

The only way to get the Sacred Bee is to complete quests related to 6 idols Hide it around the map and place it inside the Hive Mother Shrine. Four of them are in shrines, one must be purchased, and one is itself a quest reward.
